Fall in Fredericksburg

Fall in Fredericksburg

There’s plenty of fun to be had during fall in Fredericksburg!
To help inspire your fall trip, we’ve set out our top spots below.

No. 1 – Sip Coffee at Caliche Coffee Shop

Kick-start your first morning in Fredericksburg with a coffee pit stop at Caliche Coffee Shop! The coffee shop is housed in a converted beer shack, and the guys here serve delicious small-batch coffee that’s roasted in-house by Ranch Road Roasters. Order drinks to go or grab a table in their contemporary yet cozy dining area.

No. 2 – Das Peach Haus

Pack your camera; Fredericksburg is picture-perfect in fall! There’s plenty of photo opportunities around town, but we recommended a trip to Das Peach Haus. This former peach farm still sells fresh peaches to this day, but the family has expanded the site and now offers wine tasting and culinary tours. Take a walk around the private lake and follow the footpaths through the forest for the ultimate fall photoshoot!

No. 3 – Tuck into Brunch at Woerner’s Warehouse Cafe

At some point during your time in Fredericksburg, you’re going to want to swing by Woerner's Warehouse Cafe for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Everything at Woerner’s is cooked with love and made using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Our menu favorites include California Chicken Melt and The Everything Bagel Toast

No. 4 – Go Pumpkin Picking at Jenschke Orchards

In the fall, no trip to Fredericksburg would be complete without a visit to the Jenschke Orchard's pumpkin farm and corn maze! Every Thursday through Monday, the farm opens its doors to visitors in honor of celebrating the changing seasons. There are over five acres to explore, so fasten your boots and get ready for some serious pumpkin picking!

No. 5 – Schedule a Wine Tour

Step into fall with a glass of wine in your hand at one of Fredericksburg’s most acclaimed wineries! There’s plenty of wineries, distilleries, and breweries spread across town, and the lovely folks at Reserve Wine Tours are happy to take you on a whirlwind tour of all of them (or as many as your liver can handle).

No. 6 – Hike to Enchanted Rock

Head 20-miles north of Fredericksburg, and you’ll find yourself in the Enchanted Rock State National Area, a popular wilderness area home to hiking trails, climbing routes, and the famous Enchanted Rock. The pink granite rock stands proud of the landscape and is the perfect place for a spot of stargazing in the autumnal seasons.

No. 7 – Dine at Vaudeville

Vaudeville restaurant sits in Fredericksburg's heart and is known for its funky American cuisine and picture-perfect exterior. If you’re here on the weekend, order the fixed price menu and dine on the likes of Beef Carpaccio, Duck Confit, or Black Truffle Pizza.

No. 8 – Enjoy Live Music at a Local Bar

Wrap up your time in Fredericksburg with some live music at one of the local bars. Hondo’s on Main Street has a fantastic line-up all year round, but the likes of Colleen Miller and Aaron McDonnell will be rocking out there this October. Other popular live music venues include The Club at Barons CreekSide, Silver Creek Beer Garden, and Western Edge Kitchen.
